OVERVIEW
Gooru is a personalized learning platform for K-12 teachers that enables them to create, curate, and share collections of web resources to address specific students’ needs.
ROLE
As Product designer, I worked with the Gooru team to create and design the UX/UI. Responsibilities included: UX holistic analysis, user journey maps, user testing, search & browse experience, and a personalized dashboard.

First Time User Experience
I designed a first round of wireframes for novice and advanced users coming to goorulearning.org giving users a starting point and walking them though a series of brief conversational questions to help find what they are looking for. Questions are based on grade, subject and role.
User Journey Map
Through the use of ethnographic research, I observed beginner and advanced users on how they used the Gooru website. I created and designed a journey map to highlight: actions and feelings, emotional experiences, pain points, "aha" moments, phases of the journey, and areas of opportunity to improve the teacher/coach training experience.
Personas & Sitemap
Through UX holistic analysis of existing site, I identified failing points, areas of opportunity, additions or enhancements to the usability and functionality of the site, hierarchy of priority (low, med, high) and recommendations. Through this analysis, I set out on building a site map and personas.
